Learning based uniquely on input will not respond adequately to future challenges for individuals, society or the economy. The trend is to rely, increasingly, on the identification of learning outcomes and competences. In this event, we will present current international projects that focus on the identification, management and sharing of individual learning outcomes and competences, open educational resources and learning opportunities. This includes applications, services and standards that are being designed to capture, integrate and share information on learning opportunities, learning outcomes, needs and competences of life long learners. We will introduce demos that show how personal profiles of learning outcomes can be generated from learning management systems after completion of study programs or courses and how learning opportunities can be matched to learners based on their desired learning outcomes, competences or job requirements. Relevant jobs can also be recommended to individuals based on their competences and skills.
